Do you have what it takes to be an avid rockhound? Ask yourself these questions and then you, and only you, can make this decision. BE CAREFUL, you may be one and not know it, or you may decide to leave the hobby for fear of going crazy. If you believe you have chosen the latter, well...it's too late. You're still a rockhound, you may just be temporarily retired. This could be the most important decision of your life...or not.
Does your back hurt?
Do you look down at the ground when you get out of the car?
Can you visiualize the interior of a roadside souvenir shop without ever having gone in it?
Have you ever craved one of those polished slices of some exotic agate, knowing full well you have no idea what you would do with it?
Have you vacationed in the "Rocky" Mountains (more than once)?
Is "Rocky Road" one of your favorite ice cream flavors?
What does "Rock Concert" actually mean to you?
Do you pick up stuff from the ground as you're walking? (Don't cheat on this one).
Are you attracted to vitamin capsules because they contain "minerals"?
- And finally, does your back hurt some more?
